Vladimir is passionate about driving disruptive innovation across the emerging world and effecting positive impact across industries and economies. After spending a few months in East Africa in 2017, he decided to follow this passion and move to Nairobi to focus on early stage investments across the African continent.
At EAV, Vladimir is responsible for originating deals, assessing, structuring and negotiating investment opportunities as well as the execution, realisation and performance monitoring of investments, with a particular focus on early stage infrastructure deals. In addition, he is responsible for group reporting and the coordination of the technical assistance facility for portfolio companies.
Before joining EAV, Vladimir was a Senior Director at A-Ventures Management, an asset manager with a US$600m portfolio of industrial assets in Russia, CIS, China and Eastern Europe, he was involved in a number of successful turn-around, divestitures and credit portfolio restructuring and held various interim executive roles. Prior to that Vladimir was Associate Director at Direct Investment Department of Gazprombank, where he was responsible for overseeing existing investments in power distribution and energy efficiency as well origination and execution of new investments. Before that Vladimir spent 7 years working on M&A advisory and private equity transactions in Russia, CIS and Europe, he advised major industrial groups such as Gazprom, SIBUR, Basic Element, Interros and others.
Vladimir holds a BSc in Economics from Moscow State University and an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks Russian, Spanish and English.
