Vova has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and private equity in emerging markets. He is passionate about driving disruptive innovation across the emerging world and effecting positive impact across industries and economies. After spending a few months in East Africa in 2017, he decided to follow this passion and move to Nairobi to focus on low carbon investments across the African continent.
At E3 Capital, Vova is responsible for originating deals, assessing, structuring and negotiating investment opportunities as well as the execution, realisation and performance monitoring of investments, with a particular focus on early-stage infrastructure deals. Vova is a board member of Solarise Africa, SolarX Africa, ZiZ Energie, InspiraFarms and PEG Africa.
Before joining EAV, Vova was a Senior Director at Ventures Management, an asset manager with a US$600m portfolio of industrial assets in Eastern Europe and Asia. He was involved in a number of successful turnarounds, divestitures and credit portfolio restructuring and held various interim executive roles.
Prior to that, he spent 9 years working on M&A advisory and private equity transactions in Europe and Middle Asia. He has been involved in numerous deals with major industrial and financial groups in Eastern Europe as well as management of investments in power sector with a particular focus on power distribution and energy efficiency.
Vova holds an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks English, Spanish and French.
